Depending on your existing system, Techno-Solis collectors may be incorporated with relatively minor plumbing or mounting modifications.
Do You Need to Replace the Entire Solar Pool Heating System?​
Often, no.
Many older solar pool heating systems develop problems with the collectors while other components of the system remain usable.

If the existing plumbing, controls and other system components are still serviceable, replacing the collectors may be a more practical and economical solution than removing everything and starting over.
You can replace one failed panel, several damaged panels, or the entire collector array, depending on the condition and compatibility of your existing system.

Standard Techno-Solis Solar Pool Panel Sizes
Techno-Solis replacement collectors are available in three common sizes:

Each collector is approximately 48 inches wide.
When collectors are installed side by side, additional space is required between panels for connections and mounting hardware. Do not choose a replacement panel based on width and length alone.
Header diameter, connection location, spacing, mounting method and existing plumbing should also be checked.
1.5" and 2" Header Options​
Techno-Solis solar pool panels are available with 1.5-inch and 2-inch headers, making them suitable for replacing many common solar pool collector configurations.
However, having the same header diameter does not automatically mean two different brands are direct replacements.

Replacing One Panel vs. Replacing the Entire Array
A single failed collector can sometimes be replaced while leaving the remaining panels in service.
For older systems, however, it is worth considering the condition of the entire array. If several collectors are becoming brittle, leaking or failing one after another, replacing the complete array may make more sense than continuing to replace individual panels.
There is no one answer for every system.
