The Techno-Solis Deluxe 4x12 Solar Pool Heater Kit features commercial-grade 4' x 12' solar pool panels with 1.5-inch headers. Designed primarily for new solar pool heating installations and complete system replacements requiring panel-connecting hardware, mounting hardware and equipment-side plumbing components.
This 4x12 solar pool heater kit includes everything provided with the Standard Kit plus an additional Plumbing Kit containing valves, PVC fittings and installation accessories designed to simplify connection of the solar heating system to the existing pool equipment.

Techno-Solis Deluxe System Kits are designed primarily for new DIY solar pool heating installations or complete replacement projects where new panel-connecting hardware, mounting hardware and equipment-side plumbing components are required.
Each Deluxe Kit includes the selected number of 4' x 12' Techno-Solis solar pool panels, panel-connecting components, mounting hardware for the selected installation surface, hold-down strapping, one Row Kit and one Plumbing Kit.
The Plumbing Kit adds the valves, fittings, pipe supports and accessories commonly required to connect the solar feed and return plumbing to the existing pool equipment.
PVC pipe is not included because long lengths of PVC pipe are generally more practical and economical to purchase locally.
With our free system-design assistance, detailed installation instructions and ongoing technical support, a skilled DIYer can plan and complete the installation with substantially less guesswork when selecting the required components.
If you already have usable valves, plumbing components and equipment-side fittings, the Techno-Solis Standard Kit may be the better option.
Standard Kit vs. Deluxe Kit
The Standard Kit provides the solar panels, panel-connecting hardware, mounting hardware, hold-down strapping and Row Kit needed to build and connect the solar collector array.
The Deluxe Kit includes everything in the Standard Kit plus a Plumbing Kit for connecting the solar heating system to the existing pool equipment.
Choose the Deluxe Kit when you want a more complete package for a new installation or full system replacement and do not already have the required equipment-side valves and fittings.

Product Function
Techno-Solis solar pool panels use energy from the sun to heat swimming pool water. The existing pool pump circulates filtered water through the solar collectors, where solar energy warms the water before it returns to the pool.
A properly sized and installed solar pool heating system can:
- Increase the pool's average temperature by approximately 15°F to 20°F under favorable conditions
- Extend the swimming season by several months
- Provide year-round or near-year-round swimming in some warmer climates
- Reduce dependence on gas heaters and electric heat pumps
- Maintain a more comfortable swimming temperature without the high fuel costs associated with conventional pool heaters
Actual performance depends on the number of panels, available sunlight, collector orientation, roof direction, shade, weather, wind, pool exposure, circulation time and whether a pool cover is used.
Important: Adding more solar panels increases the system's available heating capacity. However, the maximum attainable pool temperature will always depend on weather conditions, system sizing and heat loss from the swimming pool.

Standard Panel Hardware Kit
Function
The Standard Panel Hardware Kit:
- Connects each solar pool panel to the adjacent panel
- Seals the connections between panel headers
- Secures the panel headers to the roof or rack
- Secures the hold-down strapping over the panels
Standard Panel Hardware Kit Contents
Each Standard Panel Hardware Kit includes:
- 2 — 1.5" x 3" EPDM rubber couplings: Connect adjacent panel headers
- 5 — #32 stainless-steel hose clamps: Secure and seal the rubber couplings to the panel headers
- 4 — Stainless-steel header and strap butterfly clips: Secure the panel headers and hold-down strapping
- 4 — Mounting fasteners: Selected according to the chosen roof or rack application
- Woven polyester hold-down strap: Secures the solar pool panels to the roof or rack

Always verify that the selected mounting fasteners are appropriate for the actual roof or rack structure. Installation must comply with all applicable building codes and manufacturer requirements.
Row Kit
Row Kit Function
The Row Kit:
- Caps the unused header opening at the end of the panel row
- Provides a mechanical release for vacuum buildup while the system drains
- Connects the solar panel array to the pool’s feed and return plumbing
Row Kit Contents
- 1 — End plug: Caps the unused panel-header outlet
- 1 — 1.5" vacuum-relief valve: Allows air into the system so the panels can drain properly
- 2 — 1.5" CPVC panel adapters: Connect the plumbing to the panel inlet and outlet
- 2 — 1.5" x 2" PVC reducer bushings: Adapt the panel connections to 2" plumbing
- 2 — 2" PVC couplings: Connect to the system’s 2" feed and return lines
The supplied connecting hardware may also work with certain other solar pool panels equipped with compatible 1.5-inch headers. Compatibility must be confirmed before ordering.
Deluxe Plumbing Kit
The Deluxe Plumbing Kit contains the valves, PVC fittings and installation accessories commonly required to connect the solar pool heating system to the existing pool equipment.
It is intended to reduce the time and guesswork involved in sourcing individual equipment-side plumbing components.
Plumbing Kit Function
The Plumbing Kit provides components to:
- Divert filtered pool water to the solar collectors
- Prevent unwanted reverse water flow
- Connect the solar feed and return lines to existing pool plumbing
- Support PVC piping along walls and roof areas
- Complete many of the common equipment-side plumbing connections
PVC pipe is not included and should be purchased locally based on the actual installation layout.
Plumbing Valves
The Deluxe Plumbing Kit includes:
- 1 — 3-Way Manual Control Valve
- 2 — Check Valves
3-Way Manual Control Valve
The 3-way valve directs water either through the solar heating system or through the normal pool circulation path.
It also allows the installer to regulate flow through the solar system when required.
This is a manual valve. An automatic solar controller can be purchased separately if automatic temperature-based operation is desired.
Check Valves
The two check valves help prevent unwanted reverse flow through the pool filtration and solar plumbing system.
The exact placement of each valve depends on the equipment layout and plumbing configuration. Follow the installation instructions or contact us for system-design assistance.
PVC Fittings Included
The Deluxe Plumbing Kit includes common 2-inch PVC fittings for the installation:
- 18 — 2" PVC 90° elbows
- 2 — 2" PVC 90° street elbows
- 8 — 2" PVC couplings
- 1 — 2" PVC tee
- 1 — 2" x 1-1/2" PVC flush reducer bushing
These fittings are intended for typical installations. Complex plumbing layouts may require additional fittings.
PVC pipe is not included.
Plumbing Mounting Parts & Accessories
The Deluxe Plumbing Kit also includes:
- 1 — Roof sealant, where applicable
- 12 — 2-1/2" pipe clamps for supporting 2" PVC plumbing
- Mounting fasteners for securing the pipe clamps
Mounting hardware varies according to the selected installation surface.
Additional mounting components may be required depending on the roof structure, plumbing route or local building-code requirements.
Split Kits and Double-Row Kits
Additional components may be required when the panels cannot be installed in one uninterrupted row.
Use a Split Kit To:
- Install panels on separate roof sections
- Work around vents, skylights or other roof obstructions
- Divide the system into multiple solar arrays
- Combine different panel lengths to fit the available installation space
- Accommodate complex roof layouts
Use a Double-Row Kit To:
- Install one row of solar panels above another
- Connect stacked panel rows
- Fit more collector area within a limited-width roof section
Proper plumbing design is important for balanced water flow and complete system drainage. Contact us for assistance before ordering if your installation includes multiple arrays, split rows, stacked rows or panels of different lengths.
Automatic Solar Control Upgrade
The Deluxe Kit includes a manual 3-way solar control valve.
Customers who want the solar heating system to operate automatically based on pool and solar temperature can add an Automatic Solar Pool Controller Package.
An automatic controller can turn solar heating on when useful solar energy is available and bypass the solar collectors when conditions are not favorable.

High-Wind Areas
Techno-Solis Deluxe Kits include mounting hardware intended for typical installations. Properties located in high-wind or hurricane-prone regions may require upgraded mounting hardware, additional fasteners or project-specific engineering to comply with local building codes.
Select the appropriate High-Wind Hardware Upgrade when required.

Building Permits and Engineering
Permit and engineering requirements vary by state, county and municipality. Your local building department may require a permit, engineered drawings, product-approval documentation or specific mounting methods.

Processing and Delivery Information
Techno-Solis systems typically require approximately 7–14 business days for order preparation before shipment, plus standard transportation time.
Order processing begins on the next business day when an order is placed after 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Longer processing times may occur during the peak solar pool heating season, particularly from March through August.
Because of the panels' size and weight, larger systems generally ship by LTL freight on a pallet. Expedited delivery may not be available.
Important Freight Delivery Information
The delivery driver may require the purchaser to assist with unloading the panels from the truck. Liftgate service may be available for an additional charge.
Inspect the entire shipment before signing the delivery receipt. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt and photograph the shipment before unpacking it.
Do not discard the packaging until all panels and components have been inspected.
