Product Information
Techno-Solis Standard System Kits are primarily designed for complete replacement of an existing solar pool heating system or partial replacement projects that require new panel-connecting and mounting hardware.
Each Standard Kit includes the selected number of 4' x 8' Techno-Solis solar pool panels, panel-connecting components, mounting hardware for the selected installation surface, hold-down strapping and one Row Kit.
Standard Kits can also be used as foundation kits for straightforward new solar pool heating installations.
With our free system-design assistance, detailed installation instructions and ongoing technical support, a skilled DIYer can confidently plan and complete the project. We are available to help determine the correct system size, panel layout, plumbing configuration and additional components needed for the installation.
For a more complete new-installation package, we recommend upgrading to a Deluxe Kit. Deluxe Kits include additional valves, fittings and plumbing components not included with the Standard Kit.
Replacing Individual Panels Only?
If you only need to replace one or more panels and intend to reuse your existing connecting and mounting hardware, do not purchase a Standard Kit.
Instead, purchase the required individual panels from our Replacement Solar Pool Panels page.
Compatibility depends on the dimensions of the existing panels, header size, connection spacing, plumbing configuration and condition of the remaining system. Contact us before ordering if you are uncertain which product is appropriate for your replacement project.
Product Applications
- Complete replacement of an existing solar pool heating system
- Partial system replacement requiring new panel-connecting or mounting hardware

- Heating above-ground swimming pools
- Heating qualifying commercial swimming pools
- Roof-mounted installations
- Ground-mounted and ground-rack installations
Product Function:
Techno-Solis solar pool panels use energy from the sun to heat swimming pool water. The existing pool pump circulates water through the solar collectors, where solar energy warms the water before it returns to the pool.
A properly sized and installed solar pool heating system can:
- Increase the pool’s average temperature by approximately 15°F to 20°F under favorable conditions
- Extend the swimming season by several months
- Provide year-round or near-year-round swimming in some warmer climates
- Reduce dependence on gas heaters and electric heat pumps
- Maintain a more comfortable swimming temperature without the high operating costs associated with conventional pool heaters
Actual performance depends on the number of panels, available sunlight, collector orientation, roof direction, shade, weather, wind, pool exposure, circulation time and whether a pool cover is used.
Important: Adding more solar panels increases the system’s available heating capacity. However, the maximum attainable pool temperature will always depend on weather conditions, system sizing and heat loss from the swimming pool.

- Six Standard Panel Hardware Kits
- One Row Kit
- Required hold-down strapping
The number of Standard Panel Hardware Kits is automatically calculated based on the number of panels ordered. One additional hardware kit is included to complete the row.
Standard Panel Hardware Kit
The Standard Panel Hardware Kit:
- Connects each solar pool panel to the adjacent panel
- Seals the connections between panel headers
- Secures the panel headers to the roof or rack
- Secures the hold-down strapping over the panels
Standard Panel Hardware Kit Contents
Each Standard Panel Hardware Kit includes:
- 2 — 2" x 3" EPDM rubber couplings: Connect adjacent panel headers
- 5 — #40 stainless-steel hose clamps: Secure and seal the rubber couplings to the panel headers

Row Kit
Row Kit Function
The Row Kit:
- Caps the unused header opening at the end of the panel row
- Provides a mechanical release for vacuum buildup while the system drains
- Connects the solar panel array to the pool’s feed and return plumbing
Row Kit Contents

- 2 — 2" PVC couplings: Connect to the system’s 2" feed and return lines
The supplied connecting hardware may also work with certain other solar pool panels equipped with compatible 2-inch headers. Compatibility must be confirmed before ordering.
Split Kits and Double-Row Kits
Additional components may be required when the panels cannot be installed in one uninterrupted row.
Use a Split Kit To:
- Install panels on separate roof sections
- Work around vents, skylights or other roof obstructions
- Divide the system into multiple solar arrays
- Combine different panel lengths to fit the available installation space
- Accommodate complex roof layouts
Use a Double-Row Kit To:
- Install one row of solar panels above another
- Connect stacked panel rows
- Fit more collector area within a limited-width roof section
Proper plumbing design is important for balanced water flow and complete system drainage. Contact us for assistance before ordering if your installation includes multiple arrays, split rows, stacked rows or panels of different lengths.
High-Wind Areas
Techno-Solis Standard Kits include mounting hardware intended for typical installations. Properties located in high-wind or hurricane-prone regions may require upgraded mounting hardware, additional fasteners or project-specific engineering to comply with local building codes.
Select the appropriate High-Wind Hardware Upgrade when required.

The property owner and installer are responsible for confirming local code requirements and ensuring that the system is properly installed.
Building Permits and Engineering
Permit and engineering requirements vary by state, county and municipality. Your local building department may require a permit, engineered drawings, product-approval documentation or specific mounting methods.
DIYSolarPoolHeaterKits.com may be able to provide a Basic Engineering Package or Custom Engineering Package for an additional cost.
Contact us before ordering if permitting or engineering documentation is required for your project.
Processing and Delivery Information
Techno-Solis systems typically require approximately 7–14 business days for order preparation before shipment, plus standard transportation time.
Order processing begins on the next business day when an order is placed after 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Longer processing times may occur during the peak solar pool heating season, particularly from March through August.
Because of the panels’ size and weight, larger systems generally ship by LTL freight on a pallet. Expedited delivery may not be available.
Important Freight Delivery Information
The delivery driver may require the purchaser to assist with unloading the panels from the truck. Liftgate service may be available for an additional charge.
Inspect the entire shipment before signing the delivery receipt. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt and photograph the shipment before unpacking it.
Do not discard the packaging until all panels and components have been inspected.
